Kenna and I play this game a lot. Try it with a friend.

1. Think of a color. Don't tell your friend. Tell your friend to try to think of the color when you do this to her. 
2. Hold your friend's hands tightly with both hands. If you want to close your eyes, you can.
3. Think as hard as you can of your color. If your eyes are open, you might want to look at something that has that color on it. If your eyes are closed, that's fine, too.
4. When your friend guesses the color, tell them if it is right or wrong. Kenna and I like to celebrate when we guess the correct colors. 
5. Switch positions, so you get a turn to guess the color.

We recommend that you take long breaks between guessing the correct color. Make sure your hands are warm enough. 

The title is "Fish" upon request. This game has no real title. Can you think of one?

the authors

All the authors of this blog are either in kindergarten or fourth grade.Ville and Kenna in K,me and Nory in fourth.As Nory said earlier,we are in different classes.Unfortunately,Ville and Kenna were separated too.So as it happens,none of us are in the same class.Fourth grade is fun,for me and Nory,but would be awfully boring for the kindergarten authors for this blog.Fact-Kindergarten means child garden.

The New School Year

For many of us, it is the start of a new school or a new grade. My own little sister, Kenna, has just experienced Berkeley Arts Magnet for the first time. I have been going there for three years. Obviously, then, this is my fourth. This has been my first day* with Ms. Govil, a teacher for whom this will be the third year of BAM (Berkeley Arts Magnet) for. Though it might seem strange, I am a (new) fourth grader.
The classroom placement does not quite agree with Elina, my best friend, or myself. We were placed in separate classrooms. I'd previously figured out the statistics of being in the same class as her. (Fifty-fifty chance for a million dollars--right?) Sadly, though, Elina got Ms. Lee, the other fourth grade teacher. Ms. Govil is nice, though. Homework on the very first day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

mother's day

Yesterday at my preschool we had a mother's day party.There were really good milkshakes,and there were cookies,but when I went to get a cookie, there were none.Too bad!And then Ms.Lisa took pictures of moms with their children.Earlier in the day,we made presents for our mothers.I'm not telling what they are for fear that they look on this blog.I'll tell you tomorrow, when it's mother's day and they open them.

The Birthday

Yesterday my friend SARA had her 9th birthday party.We are exactly a month apart.(Yesterday was exactly a month until MY BIRTHDAY!)She had the party at her mom's work,and it turned out that one of her preschool friends and I knew each other from hip hop class.Sara's cake was decorated like Hawaii,with a frosting beach, a few plastic palm trees,and a pair of very small flip-flops.It was very,very,very pretty.She liked my present,which was a very pretty fairy doll and one of those charm things where you can put a tiny picture in.So I had a FABULOUS time at Sara's birthday party,and I hope she does at mine.

The Chalk of BAM Schoolyard

Whether it is a natural resource or not, BAM has a signature chalk.
You are probably wondering, what is this chalk? To tell you the truth, it's nothing special. It's brown, your sight says it's wooden, and you drag it on the ground with your foot to make a mark
Now the question remains: What is it's origin? It could be an old, broken piece off the mural, but is it really that brown?
It could also be a woodchip. Woodchips like this are found as dirt for trees.
And so the mystery remains forever.

When it says "By Ville" it's actually almost all by Ville, who's 4,if don't remember.He says what he wants to write,I tell the spelling, and he types. It's pretty fun, once you get used to it.

In school, we're working on idioms. It is really fun! I did "To keep a straight face"and"A chip off the old block".Soon we will be working on FABLES. FABLES sound like they are really hard.I really hope they aren't!
